They're darn near telepathic, is what they are. I had 3 minutes of "the world is out to kill you" safety video, a couple of minutes of doing donuts in the lawn, and then it was off to the races (figuratively - the segway was set to "beginner" mode. OTOH, some guys on the ship had some fairly impressive road rash on them that they claim to have gotten from the segway (albeit after disabling beingger mode and attempting to be stupid).

Oh, awesome! Jon did a segway tour around Dockyard in Bermuda; he had a blast, said they're really easy to ride.
